Introducing Youth with Disabilities to the Outdoors

Get Involved

2023 Super Hunt will take place October 27 - October 29. The hunt is for anyone ages 6 to 17 years of age with a disability.  This is an exciting weekend where kids, families and volunteers lives are impacted.  If you are interested in helping out, we have a place for you.  We need Volunteers, Landowners, Guides, and Financial Partners to help make this a successful event.  For more information, complete the necessary form below or email us at info@southernoutdoorsunlimited.org

Participants

The experience of being a  Super Hunt participant is unparalleled to anything else. From the time you arrive at Turcotte on Friday till the banquet on Sunday, the kids and their families are VIPs.

The landowners and guides go out of their way to make everyone feel like family. With great food, fellowship and fun the entire weekend is an awesome experience. Oh yeah, the hunting isn’t bad either. But there is so much more to it than just a hunt. Friendships are made that last a lifetime.

Land Owners

The landowners are a huge part of the Super Hunt.  They give up their properties for the entire weekend to share with the participants and their families.  Being a landowner isn’t about harvesting a lot of deer, its about teaching these kids about the outdoors and sharing their fondest memories of when they were a kid and making first time memories with the participants.  The relationships made at the Super Hunt with the kids and their families will last a lifetime.

Guides

Guides play a vital role in the Super Hunt annually. Every participant in the event is required to have a guide with them during their hunts and throughout the weekend. As hunters, it’s our duty to educate our youth. For the guide, this is an opportunity to teach and provide insight in the outdoors with participants that will stick with them throughout their life.

Volunteers

The Super Hunt has been going strong for 12 years and we could not have made the event happen without our volunteers.  Volunteers come from all walks of life and backgrounds to help with the Super Hunt.

Volunteers give of their time and energy to ensure the participants and their families have a memorable and fun filled hunt.
